Travelling with Minors (children under 18 years old)

Rocky Mountain Adventure Tours welcomes families and may offer trips that include minor children (“Minors”). To help ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone, the following terms apply to all bookings involving Minors:

  • Age-appropriate participation: Activities, instruction, and group interactions will be designed to be appropriate for the ages, abilities, and comfort levels of the participants present.

  • Parent/guardian responsibility: A Minor must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (or another adult expressly authorized in writing by the parent/legal guardian) who is responsible for the Minor’s supervision and behaviour at all times, including during activities, meals, transfers, free time, and at accommodations.

  • No transfer of custody: Our guides and staff are not able to assume custody of, supervise, or act as a guardian for any Minor, even briefly. This includes (but is not limited to) babysitting, providing childcare, or being responsible for a Minor while the parent/guardian is absent.

  • No one-on-one situations: Guides and staff will not be alone with a Minor in a private or one-on-one setting. If a situation arises where a Minor is separated from their parent/guardian, we will take reasonable steps to reunite them promptly and may involve relevant venue staff or authorities as appropriate.

  • Behaviour and safety: Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring Minors follow guide instructions and safety rules. If a Minor’s behaviour creates a safety risk to themselves or others, we reserve the right to require closer supervision, modify participation, or remove the Minor (and their accompanying adult) from an activity without refund.

  • Medical needs and consent: Parents/guardians must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or support needs prior to departure and ensure that required medications (e.g., inhalers, EpiPens) are carried and administered by the parent/guardian. Any required consent forms must be completed before participation.

By booking a tour that includes a Minor, the parent/legal guardian (or authorized adult) confirms they understand and agree to these conditions and accept full responsibility for the Minor throughout the program.
